Friday, August 27th - Becoming More Patient

"Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up." -GALATIANS 6:9

I (Carrie) just began exercising again by riding a stationary bike. It has been a while since I participated in spin classes, and I remember how much it helped me stay in shape. I enjoyed doing the classes so much I purchased a stationary bike and began my exercise routine of riding a few days a week. It has been a few weeks and I am slowly getting into better shape, but I am not where I want to be. As much as I wish I would see instantaneous results, I know that this is a process and I need to be patient. I am confident that if I continue to exercise, over time I will be right where I desire regarding my fitness.

I also realize that while I must be patient, I also must be active. I must continue to work out over time to reach my fitness goals. Patience is not passive. We are to work through the waiting. When in a season of waiting, one that requires patience, we must keep working. We must keep praying and seeking God. We must keep reading and studying the Bible. We must keep serving God and others around us. It is through this work that God will work in us and through us.

Where is God asking you to move while being patient?
