The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in our midst. When we are abiding in His will, we are able to acknowledge God leading, molding, and supporting us through the Holy Spirit.
So how does the Holy Spirit work within our souls? You may have heard a thing or two about the fruits of the spirit. Here’s a refresher:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23
Fruits of the spirit are an outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. When we give ourselves completely to Christ, we produce an abundance of this fruit and share it with others, So much so, that we are recognized as followers of Christ by these fruits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
If we’re not giving ourselves completely to Christ, then we’ve got some bad fruit on the tree. If we are not showing an abundance of spiritual fruit in our lives, then we’re not listening to God and doing what He says.
How is your soul right now? Are you graciously sharing these fruits of the Spirit to all you encounter?
Let’s be women that are known as Christ followers by our good fruits! We are called to be peacemakers and disciples that share God’s love with all we encounter. If you’re struggling with living out these spiritual fruits, that is ok! There is always room for pruning and new growth. God doesn’t want us to stay the same and invites us to become more like Jesus for the sake of others!
