Week 1, Day 5: Lord of My Heart

Go to any bookstore and head to the self-help section and you’ll find books that will guide you through just about every personal improvement known to man. You can get fit, drink more water, and detox. There are books that tell you how to be more influential, find success, and organize your life. Most of these books promise increased satisfaction in life and more happiness. Yet none of these make us more acceptable in God’s eyes. When God is looking for someone to use in a significant way, He’s not looking for the person who has improved themselves the most. He cuts straight to the heart. He wants people with a heart after His.
