“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:25-26 (NIV)
Through the constant presence of the Holy Spirit, we have direct access to the Father. The Spirit intercedes on our behalf with the Father, comforts us in our weakness and guides us when we are unsure. You have direct access to the Father by believing in the Son and receiving the Spirit. Do you take advantage of that direct access? Do you open yourself up to the comfort and guidance of the Holy Spirit? Do you approach the throne room of God’s grace with your Advocate by your side and ask for forgiveness when you’ve gone astray? Do you realize the same Spirit that dwelt within Jesus is dwelling in all who believe in Him today?
How would it change your life if you found certainty in the fact you have an advocate with the Father in the Holy Spirit?
