Paul knew His enemies were, “wicked and evil people.” He asked for protection from people who were not following God; people who were trying to hinder the work of the Gospel. From whom are you seeking to be delivered? Who is your enemy? Is it people who disagree with you? People who are getting in the way of your plans? People who have different political opinions or preferences than you? People with a different worldview or mindset? Or are they really people who have rejected God and are walking in step with the evil one?
