“But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” Jeremiah 1:7 (NIV)
Have you ever felt God only wants your strengths? Have you ever felt like your weaknesses and deficiencies disqualified you from living God’s plan and purpose for your life?
It’s easy for us to feel valued and certain in our strengths, while feeling our weaknesses devalue us. Many of us feel that we are winning in life when the impact of our strengths exceeds the impact of our weaknesses. If we are more strong than weak, we feel successful. When we are more weak than strong, we feel like failures.
What if God doesn’t see your life the same way you see it? What if He doesn’t define your worth based on how much success you’ve had vs. how much failure you’ve experienced? What if He sees it all as an opportunity to pull you deeper and closer to Himself as you live out of both strengths and weaknesses?
God doesn’t call us to find certainty in our strengths, He calls us to find certainty in His strength.
