Tuesday, May 18th - Becoming More Fulfilled

Have you ever thought about Jesus as the fulfillment? From the early days in the Garden of Eden when mankind rebelled against God by taking the forbidden fruit, we have been in need of a Savior; someone who would pay the punishment for our sin so we could be reconciled in our relationship with the Father. The Father sent Jesus, His Son, to be the necessary sacrifice; the fulfillment of our spiritual need. Jesus’ death on the cross was the fulfillment of God’s promise that He would send a Messiah to save His people from their sins.

Jesus said it this way, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” -Matthew 5:17

Jesus was the very fulfillment of the law and prophets. He is the One the Bible points to; the evidence of God’s amazing love. In Him, God’s promises of salvation are fulfilled. But how does that lead to us being fulfilled?

We will only find fulfillment in life when we look to Jesus as the one who satisfies all our needs. Without the reconciliation between us and God, we will never find true happiness and joy. Christ is our fulfillment.

How does knowing Jesus help you find true fulfillment in life?
