Week Three, Day Two
Read Luke 5:17-26. Take a moment and contrast the hearts, thoughts, and motivations of the Pharisees with those of the men who lowered the paralytic down to Jesus. Jesus could see the motivations and thoughts in each person’s mind. Because of the hardness of the Pharisees’ hearts, they were unable to see the miracle of the spiritual healing Jesus provided for the paralytic. In the end the friends were blessed, and the Pharisees walked away even more cynical.
