When is the last time you had a feeling of being fulfilled? How did that feel? What were you doing?
The world tells us we can be fulfilled when we make ourselves important and build ourselves up. In reality, the way to a feeling of fulfillment is through serving others. Read the following verses and note what Paul says to these churches about how to find fulfillment.
“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” -Galatians 5:14
“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” - Galatians 6:2
“See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.” Colossians 4:17
Do you want to live a fulfilled life? Use the gifts and talents God has given you to serve others. As you pour out your life in service to others as an expression of your worship and thanksgiving to God, you’ll find happiness and satisfaction in the work you are doing. Working for yourself and for the glory of others’ approval only brings discontentment and dissatisfaction. Doing what you were created to do as you love others becomes a worshipful sacrifice to God and in the sacrifice, God blesses us with a sense of fulfillment.
